Startups revolve around brilliant ideas that solve problems or create opportunities, aiming to add value to customers' lives.


Technical geniuses often struggle with communicating the value of their innovations, necessitating the creation of compelling stories behind their solutions.


Startups are likened to a complex, dynamic board game, requiring creative thinking, strategic planning, and constant adaptation to market shifts.


Our investment spiral describes a startup's journey from idea to scale-up, emphasizing continuous value addition and the importance of both idea and execution.



What we look for -

We seek startups at the pre-seed or seed stage, offering new solutions to identifiable problems. These startups should be at a stage where their idea is clear, but the technology might still be experimental. The focus is now on market introduction and proving the technology's value. It's vital that the solution is understandable and addresses a specific problem or opportunity. A well-defined business concept based on the technology, with market analysis and justification, is essential.


Startups should also engage potential customers to assess interest and attract investors. Developing a clear business model and case is crucial.

What we provide -

We offer seed capital, our extensive experience, a valuable network and a hands-on approach. We are seasoned entrepreneurs with significant financial resources and an extensive network.


However, our interest goes beyond mere investment: we want to be closely involved with emerging ventures, guiding them from the pre-seed stage to the seed stage and beyond. We have done this before and have translated our experience into a proven approach that serves as a guideline to mentor startups. We remain calm under pressure and acknowledge our limits.


We offer what investment firms and advisors do not offer: skin in the game and rolling up our sleeves.

Our strength lies in filling the so called ‘investment spiral’ and expertly playing the entrepreneurial game, with a special focus on value creation and market entry.



This means:


  • We get our hands dirty. We are not passive advisors nor do we take the place of the entrepreneur, but we work closely alongside them, side by side.


  • We have ourselves built technology focused companies from scratch, including finding investors and exploiting national and international markets.




  • We can invest with our own capital and see it as an investment in our (next) business. Our approach is informal and agile. No endless procedures or formal decision-making with us.


  • Both of us have a background in special forces, so we know what perseverance is and understand the importance of teamwork. We have a "can-do" attitude to get things done, and we are also pleasant to work with.


  • As well-rounded entrepreneurs with extensive experience, we understand the complex interconnections between the many aspects that must come together for a company to succeed. Combined with an entrepreneur who knows everything about the technology, we form an unbeatable team.

Our Focus

We prefer to focus on startups that combine emerging technologies that we know or are interested in, with sectors we are familiar with. These technologies have the potential to disrupt the respective sectors and allow new players to enter. Here is a brief overview of sectors where we have experience: real estate, media and marketing, software development, construction or installation sector, manufacturing and logistics. However, we are open to other sectors also.


The world of new technology is vast and diverse, and we cannot cover everything. Our intention is to provide a general direction based on our personal interests and knowledge. We have an affinity for AI and Machine Learning, BioTech, GreenTech, FinTech, MedTech, AgriTech, EdTech, RetailTech, and PropTech, among others.


The requirements we have for startups are:


  • Innovative idea or product: the startup offers something new or significantly improve existing products or services. Innovation often arises from new technologies or their application, enabling new solutions.


  • Clear market need: the startup focuses on clearly defined market needs or problems. While they may not yet know everything about their customers and market dynamics, they are capable of successfully bringing their product to market and adapting to changes in customer preferences and market trends.


  • Scalable business model: a scalable business model is crucial for growth. This means the startup must be able to increase its revenues without proportionally increasing costs.


  • Team: the founders and core team of a startup must excel in the technical aspects of their innovative product. They may lack the (core) qualities that we bring to the table. The team must be fully committed to the startup's success.
